I went into partial
retirement in 1991 after 40 years of legal practice. In 2002, I joined
my son, Paul, and his wife to practice with the Seigfreid Law Firm,

From 1964 to 1991 I
headed the law firm of Seigfreid, Runge, Leonatti and Pohlmeyer, which
originated in Mexico, Missouri in 1868 and is the oldest law firm in
continuous existence west of the Mississippi. This firm engaged in
General Civil and Trial Practice, Corporation, Condemnation, Products
Liability, Banking, Insurance, Municipal and School, Real Estate,
Estate Planning and Probate Law. From 1983 to 1987 I also headed the
law firm of Seigfreid and Carr, Belleville, IL which tried the longest
jury trial in the history of the United States' court system.
My professional
concentrations include general civil trial law in State and Federal
